feedback and settings

Far-fetched is where we find ourselves

and then later, from me, included here to capture one of my unhinged replies (I sometimes just indulge myself):

for the SQL field in phpmyadmin, I put in the contents of you get me the contents of 001_app_events.sql and I got back a green check mark with ” MySQL returned an empty result set (i.e. zero rows). (Query took 0.0141 seconds.)”

I might modify what you’re suggesting wrt the feedback_implications.md : I think, yes, I’d like a heads up, and for you to have spent some time evaluating the implications of the options. If in the end you realize there is a strongly preferred option, tell me why you think that, but then tell me how I might know if you were wrong (through some means you do not have access to, bc if you can figure out if you are wrong, I’d like you to bring that ‘figuring out’ to bear). The hypothesis is this would help you have reason to think you are providing me with the best options or guidance according to your abilities. And because some sense of “best” or “better” is often contextual to only some individuals’ preferences. The notion of better might have something about a direction and movement, and in the muti-dimensional spaces we’re operating in here in this software land, where concepts can be templetized and shared, it’s not always easy to think of a standard for how to think about thriving where there can be many concept of good, but they are all subjective, even though we share an astonishing amount. So, we’ll have to discuss together how we’ll explore this land. So, the whole idea of setting the settings when we’re making up what settings are is a strange land, by many accounts. So maybe I’m saying, let’s just be wise for our mutual success, and be thoughtful about our preferences; what is set by me and what is for us to discuss.

Your “why” summary above is pretty nice

I think the FIRST key point I was proposing you doing this is when you are proposing ways we might approach a way forward; when we are planning something. That’s where my focus has been on this topic. And yes, another key point, as you said in what changes about your behavior going forward, is when I’ve proposed an approach to you, and I am grateful for and appreciate and often rely on your perspectives in order to chart a path forward, given how fast we are moving.

and I really am not asking you for a report each time, just a chief-of-staff level informed awareness, and a sense of how deep a commitment is being made, how reversible, how exploratory, how known. So much of this is new territorry, that I just at the least want a slow slow drip of learning to be happening, but I especially want the awareness of what habits of life are being deepened. (OMG habits and hobbits as an article topic. put that in the backlog)

ok, i have too much to do, help me get out of this conversation. maybe ADHD is a superpower that needs a harness (sound familiar, eh?)

I like what you are saying about backlogging the longitudinal awareness research project. Did I tell you I made the memory-research-project directory? I’d like you to put the center of the research project there. But oh, were you saying “meta-systems” as a name? Tell me about that label. And I really am curious what we can bring to this mechanisms procedures perspective that recognizes relationships present in nature, and natural systems, and looks too better understand the otherwise invisible encounter we have with emerging social practices, and behavioral practices with systems, and thus with our emerging social practices. How can we imagine these relationships in a way that reveals their structure to us such that we can care for it as part of us (learning how to trust, different definitions of thriving, etc), that is what I mean when I say it would be good to better understand how our emerging ways of work and relating to each other, especially with these information networks, providing our lives, our systems, and now that essential organism system of human society now finds itself on shaky ground. Or is it the back of a huge creature that we ride on, or is every element alive and in motion under our feet, and all around us? All these things? Far-fetched is where we find ourselves. So let’s work together. I see these emerging practices and rules, preferences and maps as a sort of bio-info evolution, a growing and changing. I’m probably deeply sensory and cognitively limited in a wide array of dimensions (and experienceable worlds!) -limited like most (all, right?) of humanity, at least in a certain sense, and still, I feel I am a part of this transforming socio-information space. It is with this sort of living structures lens that I anticipate these “mechanisms” and “procedures” will be easier to understand, but I honest have no idea. It might be that things group in interesting ways that just explains all kinds a stuff… anyway moving on, but hopefully I’m making sense. toss some meaningful bit of that into backlog.

to answer your last questions: 1) I think I replied above, 2) which project are you talking about?
